About Sophie Cartledge

I'm Sophie Cartledge, founder of Hormones on the Blink (HOTB), a menopause, hormone health and neurodiversity educator, speaker and late-diagnosed AuDHD woman.

I help organisations and women understand the connections between hormones, the brain, neurodivergence and everyday life, bringing together scientific evidence and lived experience to make complex subjects accessible, relatable and meaningful.

I founded Hormones on the blink (training provider) after experiencing perimenopause at 40 and finding that much of the information available didn't reflect my experience or the realities of women navigating careers, family life and other competing demands. That experience shaped my approach: connecting the dots that are often missed, challenging misconceptions and helping people make sense of changes in mood, cognition, emotional regulation and capacity.

Through HOTB, I deliver interactive, CPD-accredited training and workshops for workplaces, alongside educational sessions for women. My work helps organisations build a more informed and inclusive approach to menopause, hormone health and neurodiversity, while helping women better understand their experiences and make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.

My style combines science, practical insight, relatable storytelling and a healthy challenge to the assumptions we make about women's health and neurodivergence. I'm particularly interested in the impact of hormonal changes on the brain, the experiences of neurodivergent women in midlife, and how we create environments where women don't have to keep pushing through at their own expense.

I'm interested in speaking, podcasts, media, writing and collaborations that bring these conversations to wider audiences and move them beyond awareness towards greater understanding and meaningful change.

My work has been recognised with the Emerging Business award at the Pamodzi Inspirational Women's Event in Portsmouth in 2024, and I was a finalist in the Championing Women category at the Neurodiversity Business Awards in 2026. I've also worked with organisations including ITV, Amazon, the Francis Crick Institute and the Royal College of GPs.
