I’m Dr Jenny Draisey, a Child & Adolescent Clinical Psychologist specialising in anxiety and neurodivergence in children and young people aged 6–18.
I support children and young people experiencing anxiety, autism, PDA, ADHD, OCD, school avoidance, low self-esteem and emotional difficulties, as well as the parents trying to understand and support them. I’m particularly passionate about helping families when the usual parenting advice simply isn’t working, looking beyond behaviour to understand what a child may be communicating through it.
Alongside working directly with young people and families, I provide parent support, professional consultation, school support and workshops. My approach is warm, practical and compassionate, combining clinical expertise with advice that makes sense in the reality of everyday family life.
I’m particularly interested in opportunities to talk, write and collaborate around child and adolescent mental health, anxiety, neurodivergence, parenting, school avoidance, PDA, emotional wellbeing and supporting parents. I enjoy translating psychological research and clinical experience into accessible, engaging content that helps parents and professionals feel more informed, confident and hopeful.
With experience across NHS, education and private practice, I bring both clinical depth and an understanding of the practical challenges faced by families, schools and professionals supporting young people today.
