Georgia's PsyWork helps organisations with teams working in demanding environments (including emergency response, on-call and shift workers) improve their performance based on fatigue management, decision making and safety.
Our Founder Georgia Hodkinson, an Organisational Psychologist specialises in fatigue, human factors and the psychology of how people work, make decisions and perform under pressure. She has an MSc in Occupational Psychology and currently undergoing doctoral training, her experience spans from energy, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and emergency services.
Our approach starts with a question: Which human, under what conditions?
We explore how workload, recovery time, communication, organisational culture and the design of work shapes what people are realistically able to do.
Through Georgia's PsyWork, we use evidence-based research, business data, focus groups, and practical workshops to help organisations identify the bespoke hidden risks and make meaningful improvements to the way work is designed.
As a speaker, podcast guest, writer and workshop facilitator, Georgia make's complex psychology accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday working life. We particularly enjoy challenging familiar assumptions about human behaviour, exploring why good people sometimes make poor decisions, and showing how organisations can create conditions that support safer, healthier and more effective performance.
Topics we love exploring include fatigue and decision-making, the hidden psychology of workplace mistakes, psychological safety, inclusive cultures, burnout, organisational change and the gap between how work is supposed to happen and how it actually happens.
I'm particularly interested in collaborating with organisations, that want to move beyond awareness and have practical, thought-provoking conversations about making work better for humans.
My core belief is simple: we can't expect people to consistently perform at their best without examining the conditions we're asking them to work in.
