I am a Counselling Psychologist, speaker and educator specialising in the psychological impact of perimenopause and menopause.
For the past four years, I have trained mental health professionals across the UK, Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia, helping them understand why menopause changes psychological care, not just women's symptoms. My work explores how hormonal and neurobiological changes during the menopausal transition can influence emotional wellbeing, cognitive functioning, stress responses and engagement with psychological therapy, and why this requires clinicians to adapt the way they assess, formulate and treat women in midlife.
As the founder of Menopause CBT Clinic® and developer of the EMBERS® Menopause-Informed CBT Framework and the concept of Menopause-Informed Psychological Care (MIPC), I translate emerging menopause science into practical, evidence-informed approaches that clinicians can apply confidently in everyday practice.
I regularly speak on menopause, mental health and psychological therapies, and welcome opportunities to contribute to podcasts, conferences, media, articles and collaborations that aim to improve midlife women's mental health and advance menopause-informed psychological care.
