About Jo Phillips

Dr Jo Phillips is an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and EMDR-informed coach with over fifteen years of therapeutic experience, and the founder of Nurture Now, a psychology-led personal growth brand for women. She helps women who feel held back by fear or self-doubt and long for more freedom to be themselves, supporting them to reconnect with what matters and rediscover their joy.

Her specialism is anxiety in both children and adults, which she understands as a protective part of us that means well, even when it takes the wheel. Much of her work is helping women loosen its grip and move back into the driving seat of their own lives, led by what matters to them rather than by their fears. Alongside this runs a conviction shaped by her own experience of loss, that our joy should not sit at the bottom of the pile, because the day everything else is done never quite comes.

Drawing on EMDR, Internal Family Systems and positive psychology, together with the principles of intentional living, she brings this out of the therapy room and into everyday life, a psychology-informed companion for women as they move beyond what limits them and create the conditions to thrive, their way.

Jo is the author of The Intentional Growth Book: Your Guided Journal to Nourish and Flourish, published in 2025, and runs a busy practice supervising other EMDR therapists in their work. She has contributed expert commentary to Psychologies magazine, and the themes at the heart of what she does are understanding the role of fear and anxiety, healing and thriving, women's personal growth and living with greater intention.

Nature runs through everything she does, from the daily forest walks that restore her to a love of photography that shapes the imagery of Nurture Now.
