I'm Dr Marianne Trent, a Clinical Psychologist, author, podcast host and community builder with a passion for helping psychologists create fulfilling and sustainable careers.
For over a decade I've supported psychologists across all career stages - from those considering psychology for the first time, through to trainee, qualified and highly experienced practitioners navigating the realities of modern psychological practice.
I'm the host of the Psychology, Actually podcast, author and co-author of several psychology books, and founder of communities and events designed to bring psychologists together through connection, learning and shared experience.
Alongside 'The Aspiring Psychologist Membership' and mentoring opportunities, I co-host in-person networking events for psychologists with Dr Claire Plumbly, creating spaces where meaningful conversations, professional growth and genuine relationships can flourish.
I also still offer 1:1 work including both therapy and coaching.
My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity and the belief that nobody should have to navigate their psychology career alone. Whether through podcasts, books, training, mentoring, events or community spaces, my aim is to help psychologists feel more connected, more confident and less isolated in the work they do.
