The signature talk:

THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS

THOUGHT SPEAKERSHIP

Turn your expertise into a Signature Talk that helps people understand what you stand for, remember what you have to say and see you as an expert in your field.

In this practical three-hour workshop, Katie Reddin-Clancy will help you clarify the big idea, perspective and process behind your work. You’ll also start creating your Origin Story about why you care. These can then be shaped into a Signature Talk that you can use across speaking opportunities, workshops, podcasts and your wider thought leadership.

YOU KNOW A LOT

THE CHALLENGE IS KNOWING WHAT TO SAY

When you work in wellbeing, psychology, therapy or another expert-led field, there is rarely a shortage of knowledge.

The harder part is deciding what you want to be known for.

  • What is the big idea that sits underneath your work?
  • What is your perspective?
  • What do you want people to remember when you leave the room?
  • And how do you turn years of knowledge and experience into something clear enough to share on a stage, in a workshop, on a podcast or wherever the opportunity arises?

That is what this workshop is designed to help you start doing.

What you
will
work on

Katie will guide you through the foundations of developing a Signature Talk, helping you begin to shape:

01
1. Your Big Idea
the central idea or statement you want to make
02
2. Your Perspective
your expert point of view and what makes it different
03
3. Your Personal Story
the experience and narrative that supports your message
04
4. Your Process
how you turn what you know into a clear framework and way of working
05
5. The Pressure
why the problem matters and what needs to change
06
6. Your World View + CTA
what you believe and what you want your audience to do next

What you
will
leave with

The aim is that by the end of the session you’ll have the foundations of your own Signature Talk, including greater clarity on:

  • ✓ What you want to be known for

  • ✓ The big idea at the heart of your talk

  • ✓ Your distinctive expert perspective

  • ✓ The process or framework behind your work

  • ✓ The key points you want to teach

  • ✓ How your own story supports the message

  • ✓ What you want your audience to think, feel or do next

You won’t be expected to arrive with a polished keynote. This is about getting the thinking out of your head and beginning to turn it into something structured, distinctive and usable.

how it works

This is a workshop
not a webinar

We want you to leave having done some of the work, not simply listened to someone talk about it.

The session will be practical and interactive, with space to think, write, discuss and work on your own ideas. There will also be breakout-room time so you can test your thinking and connect with other experts in the room.

A replay will be available, but we strongly recommend joining live if you possibly can. The interaction and workshop exercises are an important part of the experience.
is this you?

WHO THIS IS FOR

This workshop is for wellbeing experts and practitioners who:

  • ✓ Have a lot of expertise but sometimes struggle to distil it into one clear message
  • ✓ Want to become better known for a particular idea, perspective or area of expertise
  • ✓ Are interested in speaking, workshops, podcast guesting or other thought-leadership opportunities
  • ✓ Want to move beyond simply explaining what they do and communicate what they really stand for
  • ✓ Have ideas for a talk but need a structure to bring them together
  • ✓ Want to make more of the knowledge, experience and intellectual property they already have
  • ✓ Want to sell from stage, a Signature Talk can earn more from the offer than a premium keynote speaker fee.

You do not need to consider yourself a professional speaker. This is about becoming clearer about what you have to say.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“

“KRC helped me turn my life history into a premium intellectual property asset that landed me my first £10,000 keynote booking in Hawaii and £45,000 of business from my first talk. Smashed it. I had laughter, tears, pin drop would have been deafening at times. It feels like a dream.”

Rick Charlton, Ex-Military and Fire Commander

“

“It solved the issue of clarity. It gave me a framework and the direction that I needed.”

Camilla, Confidence Coach

“

“Katie has created an environment where ideas don’t stay in notebooks, they become reality. Through a combination of challenge, accountability, expert coaching and an incredibly supportive community, I’ve found myself consistently creating, sharing and launching work that I’d been talking about for years.

In the last year alone I’ve designed and beta-tested my own Signature Talk, Signature Programme, developed leadership courses for senior leaders, launched a completely new creative venture and finally applied for (and got accepted to) my doctorate. Exceptional.”
